Job Description: As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans, as well as identifying and documenting defects and issues. Your attention to detail and strong analytical skills will contribute to the overall success of our software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and develop comprehensive test plans
- Design and develop test cases and test scenarios based on functional and technical specifications
- Execute test cases, record test results, and accurately document any issues or defects found
- Perform thorough regression testing to ensure the stability and integrity of software applications
- Work closely with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot reported issues
- Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback on testability and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Continuously improve test processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Stay updated on the latest testing tools, techniques, and trends to incorporate best practices into test strategies
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to provide timely and accurate status reports on test progress and quality metrics
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Proficiency in test case design, test execution, and defect tracking tools
