Overview
We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer responsible for the development and maintenance of the Murex Test team tooling with a mandatory emphasis on automation by developing and implementing a Test strategy that optimises the organisation\’s current testing environments and implements solutions for maintenance, enhancement and replacement of existing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Automated Regression Test scripts
- Develop and define the standards for the Test Strategy and Test Plans, covering all aspects from the beginning of testing to the Release into Deployment
- Identify business test environment requirements for all aspects of testing
- In consultation with development teams, ensure that detailed test scripts are developed and that they cover the business requirements both functionally and technically
- Support, guide and train testers in the execution of testing and the processes required in the use of any test tools
- Review Test Plans and make recommendations for improvement
- Consult with development teams regarding any aspect of testing
- Develop and implement quality processes within the Testing Team
- Manage the execution and verification of the testing activities
- Manage the reporting of problems discovered and the control change process of all updates. Responsible for escalation of issues to appropriate managers
- Design and prepare Test Matrices with the Business representative when required
What you will bring
- Murex software testing experience or equivalent Markets software (e.g. Calypso)
- FX/FXO, Commodities business knowledge (Markets)
- Experience in squad management
- Experience in leadership/mentorship
- Experience in software testing and technical business analysis
- Self-starter & independent
- Basic professional experience in a relevant field
- Excellent communication skills
- Agile testing experience
- Implementation/change management
- Tertiary qualification in Technology discipline or related field
- Maintain an awareness of industry best practices and incorporate them into design, development and support processes
- Desirable
- Experience Market Risk (Basel 2.5, FRTB)
- Technical experience in as many of: Java, Perl, Python, SQL, Testing frameworks, Mocking frameworks, CI/CD, GIT
- Cloud technologies experience (AWS / Azure)
