Senior Database Administrator- Oracle
- Location- Melbourne CBD based role

My client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Database Administrator to take the responsibility of maintaining, optimising and providing support for a database management system. Working in a diverse environment, you will get ample opportunity to showcase your SDA skills.
This role is pivotal for the organisation as this individual will be responsible for the database management landscape both from a strategic and deployment prospective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic roadmaps and new processes for database configuration and installation
- Develop new backup and recovery techniques
- Ensure ongoing maintenance of hardware and software to ensure optimal efficiency
- Accountable for identifying issues and then proceeding to root cause analysis
- Provide primary support to MS SQL and Oracle Databases
- Provide ongoing monitoring, evaluation and analysis of the database environment
- Provide regular review, analysis and reports
Key Skills:
- General DBA Oracle skills – 11.2 / 12c
- Data guard
- RAC
- Unix scripting
- SQL/PL
- OEM
- General Oracle DBA skills (backup / recovery, database design, security/ Roles etc)
- Performance tuning.
- Exadata (nice to have but not essential)
