Adaps has been engaged to source a highly experienced PMO Co-ordinator for the NSW Government.

Position Overview:

The PMO Co-ordinator is responsible for PMO Knowledge and Information Management, training assessment and delivery, and providing co-ordination activities to the PMO and program and project teams throughout the program and project life cycle.

Duties Include:

  • Develop, deliver and maintain Knowledge Management and Information Management practices and systems to efficiently leverage the vast stores of information within PMO
  • Review the current maturity levels of PMO resources and develop and implement training systems to improve current skills within PMO
  • Deliver a skills database for all PMO resources to be used for training needs analysis and resource management and produce reports at least quarterly
  • Develop, implement and maintain Knowledge and Information Management and Training components of the PMO toolset
  • Identify areas of process improvement within PMO
  • Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to Program and Project Managers for the Project Management toolset, including updating the Enterprise Project Management system
  • Establish and run a Program / Project Co-ordination Practice for all co-ordinators within ICT programs / projects and keep Project Managers up to date on various issues relating to governance and the PMO activities through a monthly communication mechanism
  • Develop sound and effective working relationships with Project Manager/s and other key stakeholders
  • All other task as directed by the Quality Manager, PMO

About you:

  • Certified in Project management, preferably foundation level of Prince2 or equivalent or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of program management methodologies, preferably Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver small to medium projects in a complex and diversified environment
  • Experience in developing and delivering Knowledge Management systems for medium to large organisations
  • Proven experience and knowledge in training assessment and delivery
  • Experience in developing instructional and procedural documentation and presentations
  • Intermediate to advanced skill and experience in the use of the Microsoft suite including Mircosoft Project Scheduling, Excel, Word, Visio, and Powerpoint
  • Proven ability to work successfully in a team environment with excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational, time management and prioritising skills
  • Ability to identify and act on issue that affect the implementation of OHS, EEO principles and ethical practices
