Expressions of interest invited for Oracle Database Administrators to take responsibility for maintaining, optimising and providing support for a database management system. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your DBA skills within a company that has business dealings in over 140 countries around the world.
This role is pivotal for the organisation as this individual will be responsible for the database management landscape both from a strategic and deployment prospective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic roadmaps and new processes for database configuration and installation
- Develop new backup and recovery techniques
- Ensure ongoing maintenance of hardware and software to ensure optimal efficiency
- Accountable for identifying issues and then proceeding to root cause analysis
- Provide primary support to MS SQL and Oracle Databases
- Provide ongoing monitoring, evaluation and analysis of the database environment
- Provide regular review, analysis and reports
Key Skills:
- 5+ years\’ experience in Oracle DBA and using the latest Oracle technologies
- Similar commercial experience of Oracle RAC and performance tuning
- Must have keep abreast of new technologies and functionality of Oracle
- MS SQL (2008 R2, 2012)
- Oracle 11g
- SQL tuning, PL/SQL
- Proven performance tuning skills (especially in a data warehouse environment)
- Excellent communication skills
