A Master Scheduler is required to join my client in Sydney CBD to ensure all aspects of the project\’s multiple timelines are accurately captured, maintained and analysed to ensure on time delivery. Ensuring transparency in reporting and all communications, strong stakeholder management and implementing rigorous program management and control disciplines will enable you to meet the Portfolio\’s expectations and deliver a quality service.

Your roles and responsibilities will include –

  • Schedule management
  • Resource planning, leveling and capacity management
  • Preparation of progress reports for different levels of management
  • Develop, review status and analyse individual project plans to create the overarching Master Schedule in sufficient detail to identify and monitor dependencies, resources, milestone progress, assess overall program status, and identify performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop mitigation and recovery plans to ensure program milestones are completed in accordance with the contract requirements and financial plans.
  • Use of critical path methodology and application in network development, analysis, and problem resolution is required. Perform independent or collaborative schedule risk assessments and mitigation planning.
  • Provide guidance and subject matter expertise for project managers, program managers, change leads and stream leads on multiple projects and programs.
  • Coordinate activities closely to assure project/program schedules and progress align with allocated budgets throughout the entire life cycle.
  • Be capable of easily and confidently making clear and crisp presentations to senior management and stakeholders
  • As an integral member of the Program Management Office and a key Team Player, successful candidate will provide guidance and support to Project and Program Managers on continuous improvement into their schedules as required.

To be successful you should have –

  • Track record of successfully providing Master Scheduling PMO services for multiple large IT programs
  • Proven ability around complex Program Scheduling
  • Strong references from previous employers and client sponsors
  • High energy levels to ensure program delivery or turnaround success
  • Project Management qualifications are preferred, but not essential
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and rolled-up sleeves approach
  • Attention to detail
  • Very strong in MSProject and Excel
  • Proven experience in JIRA, Confluence
