Front End Developer
A venture-backed start up seeking a product-focused developer on a permanent basis to develop their suite of products from the ground up.
The product is focused around reinventing how to start and grow a business and to turn the regulatory roadblocks into stepping stones for business owners.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and optimise the user interface for the company\’s suite of web and mobile products using the latest standards, libraries and techniques
- Tackle complex problems with a pragmatic approach and provide simple, effective solutions
- Work closely with the senior management to develop a consistent user experience strategy across the range of products
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the areas of software usability, performance, code maintenance, documentation and release management
- Work with the design and product management teams in a fast-paced, iterative design- implementation loop
- Provide support to customers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Expert-level knowledge of: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Photoshop, Illustrator and GIT
- A thorough understanding of usability and user experience (UX) principles
- Experience with building responsive applications using web standards and JavaScript
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Design skills and experience with user interface (UI) design
- Experience with Sass/SCSS and Compass Mixins
- Experience with front-end frameworks and libraries, such as BackboneJS and AngularJS
- Familiarity with PHP and back-end technologies.
