Purpose:
- Deliver the Data Management and Governance Audits, assist in the identification of Risks and to test key controls related to Data.
- Support the planning, execution and reporting of a small simultaneous portfolio of Audit activity as set out in the Audit Charter and the annual Audit Plan.
- Define and develop appropriate Data audit capability within client\’s Internal Audit team and contribute to Audit\’s Annual and Dynamic planning process.
- This role sits within Internal Audit (IA). IA is the Third line of defence in ensuring the effectiveness of the organisation\’s controls in detecting, preventing and correcting risk.
Experience:
- Experience in data governance and/or management such as data ownership/stewardship, master data management, metadata management, data architecture, data glossaries is required
- Understanding data management frameworks and industry best practices as well as data related regulatory obligations (including CPG235, GDPR and BCBS239) in the banking environment is preferred
- Experience in unstructured data, Advanced SQL, Python and Data Visualisation tools will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of data science and/or AI/ML practices would be an added advantage
- Experience within Technology Audit or Risk Management / Assurance or Information Security is required.
Qualification Requirements:
- Degree or tertiary education in technology/data or related field
- Relevant certifications, e.g., Data Capability Assessment Model (DCAM), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) would be preferred but not mandatory
