SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Cloud FinOps Senior Data Analyst to provide business and financial governance support for our Public Cloud Services, and to assist in managing the full Hosting and Network Infrastructure spend by bank and providing guidance on opportunities to improve business performance.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and facilitate opportunities to optimise, reduce cost and plans to realise the savings
- Leverage the CFM tools, interpret the findings, and make technical recommendations to the business application teams to help reduce ongoing cost
- Analyse, report, and produce meaningful and actionable insights from large raw datasets within cloud billing and usage tools
- Provide summaries and detailed usage statistics for resources across public clouds, offering actionable intelligence to right-size and scale services efficiently
- Build and maintain cloud usage visibility to proactively optimize workloads
- Provide early intervention and management information to enable Cloud Technology to provide advice to consumers of the services
- Collaborate with finance and billing teams on budget, forecast and expenses reports relating to hosting
- Monitor cloud consumption at the account level to detect, investigate, and escalate anomalies and unplanned spikes
- Build automation that optimizes the cloud environment
What you will bring:
- Experience in Consulting (ideally external with big firm experience, but open to internal consulting experience)
- Strong Analytical Frameworks (e.g. Driver Trees, Root Cause Analysis etc)
- Advanced data analysis skills – minimum of advanced Excel skills, ideally large data skills
- Stakeholder Management – ability to use data and information to challenge the status quo and achieve commercial outcomes
- Project Management – ability to prioritise work based on benefits to the team and wider business
- Experience with public cloud billing and services including AWS, Azure or GCP
- Tertiary education or experience in a Finance related discipline will be highly regarded
- Practitioner or Associate level certification would be highly desirable
- Coding experience of any programming language would be advantageous
