Big Data – Admin Support

6 months contract role + view to extend !!
Experience in Big data / Cloudera – Admin support !!

New role in New Year 2017 !!

One of our large IT clients is currently looking for an Admin Support who has experience in Big data / Cloudera to join their vibrant techie team.

Skills:

1. Hands-on experience in Big Data/ Cloudera (must-have)
2. Including prior experience upgrade and cluster management using Cloudera Manager
3. Experience in HDFS, Mapreduce, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Oozie, NoSQL/HBase, Yarn, Spark, Scala, Python
4. Good knowledge of Linux
5. Experience in Kafka configuration , Flume configuration and deployment
6. Hands-on experience in Backup, Restore, Cluster set-up, Performance tuning of the cluster, Alert and monitoring of any failures, Troubleshooting, Production deployment of code from non-prod to prod, Capacity planning, Scaling and administration (node addition, decommissioning/recommission, load balancing), etc
7. Experience in HDFS support and maintenance.
8. Experience in Configuring Cloudera services
9. Experience in managing user accounts and configuration of external authentication
10. Experience in installing Software patches and upgrades
